Tuesday Miscellany

I went up the Sugarloaf yesterday, Monkey took some shots to prove it on the iPhone.

I don't think you can tell how windy it was in these photos, but what you can see are my amazing Electric Picnic '07 gaiters, which, thankfully I didn't need at the time. I'm glad they eventually got an outing,

Speaking of the Electric Picnic, according to Ticketmaster tickets go on sale on Friday for €240, a big wedge of cash to lay down considering the Line Up isn't being released until the following Wednesday. Keep your eye on their psychedelic website for details.
There is an internet presale of the tickets from tomorrow morning so if you're dedicated to going, you can get in there ahead of the posse.

Being the mac fiend that I am, I got an iPhone, and mostly I am loving it but I'm kind of suprised it doesn't support MMS, I hadn't realised how often I sent and recieved photos until I couldn't. Pretty much everything else about it is perfect though.

I am now up to West Wing 4 in my DVD box set binge, it's all becoming a bit of a blur.

Red sky in morning, Shepards Warning.

I took this on the way to work this morning at about 6.20 am, it's now 2.45 in the afternoon and it is lashing down outside.

Tuesday Miscellany

Women are at the frontline on the W. Jezebel just won a Bloggie at SXSW, which, incidently, is where my erstwhile producer Mr John McEvoy is right now, no doubt having a fabulous time.

I have looked in to vicious rumours that O2 would be disabling Wireless LAN on the iPhone, thus rendering it worthless in my opinion, but O2 assure me that this is not true and that maybe some of my friends are just trying to wind me up? (plausible). So, I will indeed be getting mine on Friday.

Sleep is my new Rock and Roll, and my new Black, and my Wonderdrug du jour. I spent the weekend at Carton House and, in between rambling around the grounds and lolling about in a big fluffy bathrobe, I slept, for hours, and hours, and hours. I have not been sleeping enough and it has been wreaking all kinds of havoc.
Oh the heady rush of rest. Sleep, you are my NBF, I have not been spending enough time with you, I realise the error of my ways and will be tucked in earlier more often.

High Five to my little Sis who gave me Prince Tickets for my Birthday and informed me today that they have arrived. Yay!

Hilary Clinton is still in the race.

Go Hil Dog

I went to see Blood Brothers in The Gaiety last night with my Mum. It's a terrific production, the place was packed with women of a certain age emoting heavily. By the time the story reached its climatic end the lady to my right was sniffing loudly and more or less sobbing! Anyway, it was great.

Appropriately enough Musicals are the Featured Artist on The Show this week and this morning, one thing led to another and we played musical tracks pretty much the whole way through. Most people loved it, there was the odd request for a little variety, but I reckon dedicating a few days to musicals IS variety on morning radio!!
